George Richards born 1829, his wife Eliza and daughter Eliza born 1848. All born in Bristol. Should mention that George Richards was my Grandfather x 3. On the 1851 census they had moved to Cheltenham and were lodging with the Lewis family, by 1861 they had moved back to Bristol.
George's wife was called Eliza Lewis before marriage, she was born in 1827, father called George Lewis (have marriage certificate). The Lewis family consisted of
Henry Lewis born 1828 Bristol
Mary Ann Cooke (wife) born Twigworth near Cheltenham
Mary Ellen Lewis born 1851 Cheltenham
Henry's father was called Henry. (again have marriage certificate)
Was there any relationship between Eliza Lewis born 1827 and Henry?
Henry as stated was born in Bristol as were his parents, mother called Sarah. After 1828 his parents moved to Cheltenham and had a further 9 children.
So is it possible that fathers Henry and George Lewis cousins?
Both families were cordwainers/shoemakers.
Any help would be appreciated.
