Does anyone know where to find these please?

Apparently is on FMP but I can't seem to find where to look  Embarassed

Doing some research about someone that "allegedly" got married on a ship going to Australia.  Would have been in the 1950's.

Found some passenger lists of him going back and forth but he is single and I don't have a wife's name - if there was one - to look for to see if she was nestling on deck  pirat

Thank you  sunny

I've looked on FMP, but can't find a specific set of docs for births at sea Sad

Thanks for looking.

I posted on Roots as well and someone has sent me a PM asking for his name/dates of travel/ship names etc so have sent that.
If they find anything will ask how they did it Arrow

Nobody has found a marriage yet but we have the name of a possible wife Laurel May from death notices in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Frederick John Tholcke age 64 12/8/1960
Laurel May Tholcke age 71 22/9/2001

I was directed to The Ryerson Index where you can search Australia death notices/obituaries in newspapers.

They offer a free service to look up the report but apparently bit hit and miss if they reply or not.

I have sent for both of these so fingers crossed. Laurel May sounds like an Aussie name to me. Progress anyway.

Got the death things and she was his wife but no closer to knowing when/where they married.

Lot more info to work on, her parents were Ivy & Albert McDevitt and she had 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Got all the names but presume all will have been born in Australia so won't be as easy to find out.

I wonder if Ivy & Albert were born in Australia or emigrated?
Ivy died 1987 Albert 1967 in Australia.
