George Williams born 1802 Olveston Gloucestershire, parents James and Mary Williams, married Amelia Croome 1827.

Children
George b 1827
Henry b 1830
Mary Ann b 1832
Emma b 1833
James John b 1836
Joseph b 1839
Charles 1841-1843
Fanny b 1844
Eliza b 1846
Charles b 1849

On the 1841 census Amelia is born in 1806, in 1851 Amelia is born about 1777, just wandering what the other census give Amelia's birth year as. I just cannot find the family afterwards. Father George may of died in 1860 but have no death for Amelia.

I have 2 different baptisms
Baptism Date: 8 Feb 1807
Baptism Place: Rockhampton,Gloucester,England
Father: John Croome
Mother: Anne
FHL Film Number: 417156.............................Name: Amelia Croome
Gender: Female
Baptism Date: 15 Jun 1777
Baptism Place: Olveston, Gloucester, England
Father: John Croome
Mother: Mary
FHL Film Number: 1596125 IT 8-10

Any help would be appreciated

ii am not having much look at finding them either but one thing I notice is that she was 64 in 1851 which would make a birth of 1787 not 1877 .

Thanks Vron, Can rule out the 1777 baptism. Both George and Amelia could well have died by 1861 and not getting much luck with the children either.
Thanks for looking.

actually thinking about it I think we can rule out both the 1700 baptisms. she is having children in the 1840's right up till 1849 - a bit of an impossibility I would say .....if she was born 1777 she would be 72 years old or 1787 she would be 62 years old.

Just having a little look and the 1851 Amelia is born Rockhampton like your 1807 baptism.

Whilst the age is written as 64 the ages of George and children have aged correctly and she can't be the mother of 3 children under 10 if she really was 64 so I think the age has been put down wrong for whatever reason.

In 1861 Charles age 2 in 1851 is a servant to Henry Williams (brother?)
Both born Olveston.

Henry Williams head 27 farmer of 16 acres
Eliza wife 25
James H son 4
Emma dau 2
Charles general servant 12

Eliza and Fanny are out on their own as servants in 1861.
Fanny 17 in Bristol and Eliza 15 in Olveston.

There is an Amelia Williams 62 in Olveston in 1871 with a son Charles age 22.

Kind of fits with the Charles 2 in 1851 and 12 in 1861 (the servant one)

Birthplace for Amelia - Newton Question
