1 Suggestion box on Thu Feb 23, 2012 12:05 pm

Hi Everyone.

It's good to see that we're very slowly but surely expanding. In order to keep growing I would like to implement some good stuff. While I have some ideas for things I would like to see it would be interesting to see if you guys have suggestions for how I can improve on this wonderful site.

Please feel free to be as honest as possible and I will accept your suggestions on their own merit.

Thanks

I have just found this message,

Not really got any ideas on how to get this site known as it hass to be out there for people to find it.

You did leave a trail on the BBC so how about posting on the Archers Family History on the BBC, http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbarchers/NF2693944?thread=5194915&skip=400 just to let people there know you have opened this site up and its free to join.

Lots of sites dont like you offering to take away their members and can get a bit annoyed if you advertise.

Thanks Clem I have done exactly that. I do need to get the board more publicity but I have recently started a new job and have a 7 month old who thinks (possibly rightly) that she should command all my attention. Must try harder though. Thanks for the suggestion and keep them coming.

Thanks

We do need new members and to be honest I cannot understand why we have not grown as you have set this website similar to the BBC board.

I have told friends about it and we have 3 excellent researchers on the family history thread.

Any ideas

Have asked this before but is it possible to get notified of brand new topics rather than just replies to topics already there  Question

There can be days where nothing happens and then suddenly there is new stuff you never knew about that has passed you by Sad

Also as have said before I find sending messages an absolute nightmare to get right Exclamation

Hi Tourmie

If you go to profile you can change your notification settings in there. Let me know ifyou don'tfind whatyou need. With regards to sending messages I still haven't worked out how to make that easier for you. Sorry.

I'll keep trying to find a solution.

Thanks

Sorry Tourmie. I have no way around this. I'll ask the forum of forums.

Not really a suggestion, more of a notification that I keep getting "malicious website blocked" warnings whenever I try to log on and also when I am using the site.

Maybe my computer is being sensitive but would be interested to know if anyone else is getting similar and if anything in particular would be causing this.

Hi tourmie

I do not receive any messages when using this website but funnily enough in the last few day s I have started getting the same message when logging into the ex BBC forum on proboards.

I was wondering what was causing it and whether it was my computer or not.
