Please would someone check this family for me, found them on ancestry trees and not sure on how correct they are.

Henry Milsom born 21 Aug 1825 Sopworth Wilkshire. Wife Ann Sophia Crew born 1830 Hawkesbury Gloucestershire. She died in 1867 in Risca, Monmouthshire. They married in 1848 Sopworth.

Henry married twice to a Margaret James in 1867 in Machen, Monmouthshire. They had more children which I have checked with the 1881 census.

Its the children from the first marriage that I am not happy about and Ann Sophia is related to my Father's family.

Alfred born 1849 Sopworth
William on 14th Aug 1853 ?
Agnes born 1853 Hawkesbury
Frederick K born 1858 Hawkesbury
John born 1860 Sopworth
Emma S born 1860 Hawkesbury
George Henry born 1862 Risca, St Micheal, Monmouthshire
Edwin born 1865 Risca, St Micheal, Monmouthshire
Isaac born 1867 Sopworth

I have a feeling that there are 2 sets of families there but cccccccould be wrong.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for your help Vron. I think your first reply was the Ann and Henry Milsom I.m looking for. The Welsh Milsoms are a different family.

the only thing is that the henry born 1832 chipping sodbury with the children which we have followed through the later census is not the henry born 1826 at sopworth - he is down seperately on the 1851 census. also the henry born chipping sodbury is not married in 1851 so therefore cannot be the one who married ann sophia crew in 1848 sopworth.

so you need to be sure which family is the correct one with ann sophia crew in it.

siamesewillow

I see what you mean, So Ann Sophia may not have been married to Henry Milsom. The only Ann Sophia Crew marriage on FreeBMD I can see was in Greenwich 1860. Several Ann Crew in Gloucestershire though.

well ann could have married henry milsom in 1848 in wiltshire but if so she isnt the one with the children mentioned before.

is it possible she died
MILSOM Ann Malmesbury Wiltshire 1850 Jul-Aug-Sep

ithink you will have to start from what you are sure of regarding her eg parents etc and work from that

siamesewillow

I agree, that tree on ancestry got me confused

vron

well if you need any help tracing her further let us know what is your starting point and what you are looking for etc.
