From the first marriage with Thomas Harriet has 3 sons
William b 1829
John 1831-1832
Thomas b 1831, gather they are twins but as yet need to do more research on these boys.

Harriet than marries William Ford in 1842 if correct? now the quiry, Peter Ford born 1833 Hawkesbury. Reading between the lines I would think Peter is Thomas's son but took his step father's surname later on.

Do you mean 1832, perhaps? [Otherwise, they don't marry until Peter is nine years old.]

Do you have a death for Husband No. 1, or do you think that Harriet was playing away before he died?

If I am looking at the right family in 1841 Harriet is with William 12 and Peter 7.
In 1851 Harriet appears to be widowed again and lodger is Ann Crew (mother?)

No John and Thomas with her but there are a couple of children with that name in 1841 with parents John Pool 30 and Hannah Pool 30. Thomas is 11 John 9. In 1851 they are still with parents but mother is down as Harriet.
I mention in case there are two different families with similar names getting mixed up!

Peter is with her as a Pool so yes I would say he belonged to her first husband - when did first husband die?

Yes Harriet was a Crew born 1805 in Hawkesbury. The 2 boys in between William and Peter (Thomas and John) very likely died. Harriet's mother was called Ann. Her 2nd husband William Ford died in 1850.

Thomas Poole died in 1833 Hawkesbury.

This family is quite distant so at present I have no certificates for this family. No I think she was expecting Peter when Thomas died.

thomas died dec 1833and peter baptised oct 1833 so he was alive long enough to see his child born and baptised
