Timothy Dauncey born 1830 Uley Gloucestershire married to Julia Powell in 1866.

They had 4 children and find no trouble in finding the birth registration for the first 3 but no sign of the last one.

Children

Clara Gertrude b 1867
Richard and William b 1870
and the one I cannot find is Dora A Dauncey b 1880 (c) Coaley.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

According to the 1881 census, she's Dora A E Dauncey

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?htx=view&r=5538&dbid=7572&iid=GLSRG11_2518_2522-0229&fn=Dora+A.+E.&ln=Dauncey&st=r&ssrc=&pid=6166713

and there's a birth registration of a Dora A E in Burnley (yes, I know it's a long way from Gloucestershire), but worth a look, perhaps?

Also, according to the 1881 census, there's an "extra" sibling - Laura, b. abt 1876

Found her on familysearch 1881 census, https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/X3BH-F8F but I have my doubts about the Burley birth registration.

SmallTownGirl

Sorry. Didn't think.

PS: If you'd like to see the 1881 image, just PM me your email address and I'll send it to you.

Found Laura's birth registration no problem on FreeBMD, http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl see her middle name was Fanny. But why no Dora???

Beginning to wander about Burley? found a marriage back in Dursley but what would the family be doing up in Yorkshire? Just had another look on the 1881 census and mother was born in Gloucestershire so as far as I can see no relatives up there and also Timothy Dauncey the father was a farmer so he would not find it easy to leave the farm. Oh dear.
