Marriage look up please

Rudolph Smith born 1862 London, married to Elizabeth Watts, she was born 1866 East Grinstead. Their oldest child Arthur was born in 1892 London.

Cannot find a marriage for them

Any help would be appreciated

The 1911 census claims married 24 years so around 1887 but I can't see a marriage.

The 1911 says 7 children born 6 living 1 died.

Is it possible Elizabeth was married before? I see in 1911 they have a grandmother with them E Watts so Watts is definitely in there somewhere   

Ooh found something interesting. Army pension record thing which says "married in the name of Rudolph Schmidt statutory declaration received"

it would appear that rudolf might be the son of peter and Wilhelmina smith . they were both born in Germany.

they can be found on the 1871 and 1881 census with him in kent.

so rudolf smith married Angelina  goddard. the marriage is on ancestry and rudolfs father is frank George smith ( a watch maker)

So I wander about E Watts (Grandmother I think) on the 1911 census.

in 1891 Rudolf is with elizabeth in London but with no children. Rudolf says he was born Tunbridge wells rather than London. Elizabeth is born east Grinstead.

Know the family lived in Kent

in the 1871 and 1881 census Rudolf has a brother patrick.  in 1891 he is married and residing in Tonbridge as patrick smith  . with them is Wilhelmina SCHMIDT (widowed)so they were obviously using both smith and Schmidt names.
