Being trying to find a marriage for Mary Ann Dark born 1843 Bristol. Parents Solomon and Sarah Dark.

She is still living with her Mother on the 1861 census.

There are 2 marriages reg for Mary Ann Dark, one in 1863 to a Robert Coggins, but wrong parents except on familysearch Mary Ann's father is down as Solomon.  Should mention Solomon died in 1853. On ancestry the parents are Samuel and Betsy Dark.

Another marriage reg is in 1865 and you can see the puzzle.
"Marriages Dec 1865   (>99%)
Britter John Keynsham 5c 1318
Butler John Keynsham 5c 1318
Butter John Keynsham 5c 1318
Dack Mary Ann Keynsham 5c 1318
Dark Mary Ann Keynsham 5c 1318
Fisher Mary Anne Bath 5c 1318
Lapham Patience Keynsham 5c 1318
Pruett Joseph Keynsham 5c 1318"

Apart from one being married in Bath, by looking on one of the census Joseph appears to be married to Prudence.

Mary Ann Dark and Mary Ann Dack are the same.

Now which John?  Have tried all 3 surnames with no luck.

Wander if anyone else would be able to sort it out.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've just looked on Ancestry, and from both the "England, Select Marriages 1538-1973" and "England, Select Bristol Parish Registers 1538-1900", they both have:

Name: Mary Ann Dark
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Single
Marriage Date: 6 Sep 1863
Marriage Place: Warmley, Gloucestershire, England
Father:   Solomon Dark
Spouse:   Robert Coggins
FHL Film Number: 4277699
Reference ID: item 6, p.31

which seems to be the same as this:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NFYB-2F8

and they all show father as Solomon!

Why don't you request a copy of the image for this marriage from FS?

so that you can rule it in or out before having to fret about which John the [possibly] other Mary married?

Are you thinking she married twice siamese?

Once in 1863 and again in 1865 but both under her maiden name?

What happened to Robert Coggins between 1863 and 1865 Cool
There's a death in Mar 1886 Keynsham age 45. Could be him if he married at 22.

Need to find out who Mary Ann is with in 1871.

Robert and Mary Ann plus children are on census together 1871/1881 then she is a widow so probably the 1886 death was his.

Can list children if it helps.

For info to distinguish between the two families.

1851
Samuel Dark 37
Elizabeth 34
Stephen 10
Mark 8
Mary Ann 5 - with both parents in 1861 age 15
Ellen 3
William Samuel 1

1851
Solomon Dark 39
Sarah 38
Elizabeth 14
Louisa 13
Ellen 11
Mary Ann 9
Henry 7
Emma 5
Solomon 3
Tamer 2
Alice 5 months

In 1881 the Mary Ann married to Robert Coggins has a daughter Tamer age 5 so that could be a clue to the right family.

Thanks Tourmie,   If I have not looked at that ancestry family tree I would have no doults.  Anyway you have almost convinced me that my Mary Ann married Robert Coggins.

I will let you know if I hear from familysearch
