Another member of the Coole family I cannot find.

Albert William Coole born 1873 Bristol, married Mary Ann Burnell in 1897 Bristol (have marriage certificate).
On the 1901 census Albert is in Insurance and they are living next door to Mary's brother Herbert and his family at 33 Northcote Rd Bristol.

But where are they in 1911?

Any help would be appreciated.

There's a tree with an Albert born 1873 that dies 1906 so maybe he didn't make it to 1911.

Found a Mary Ann Coole 37 widow in 1911 with children Florence 9 and Alfred Leslie 5.

Ahh address is the same as 1901 33 Northcote Rd so that must be her bounce

Can't see an obvious death entry for him. 1906 could have been an estimate based on the birth of the last child.

Mary Ann dies in 1954.

Thank you again for your help. So looks like Albert dies between 1905-1911.

Name: Bertie Coole Estimated Birth Year: abt 1880 Year of Registration: 1907 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun Age at Death: 27 District: Bristol County: Avon, Gloucestershire Volume: 6a Page: 106

How sad, looks as if his son Alfred Leslie dies when he is only 17 years old.

On the image for the 1911 census, in the columns for number of years married, number of children born, alive/dead, Mary (or somebody) has written (and then it's been crossed out)

13 years married,
2 children
2 alive

I found a marriage for them in 1897, so 1897 + 13 = approx 1910. But, that doesn't match with the possible death record you found for 1907.

Never thought of looking under Bertie but the age for that one is quite out isn't it *

I see what you mean about years married as technically years married would stop when she was widowed but maybe she just counted from year of marriage to 1911.

* there is a Bertie Coole in 1901 son of Walter and Mary A who is born Iver Bertie in 1880 so the death could be for him sorry to say.
He is down as Bertie on all census unlike your one.

Ooh I might have something. There is an Albert Cook_ (the entry is written like that with a line after it) age 33 death Bristol Dec 1906.

Now when I look at the list of names I can't see it but when I look at a scan of the original from BMD it does look like it could be Coole.

The transcriber couldn't read it I guess hence the _ after Cook but it does look like a 5 letter word.

Have a look and see what you think! It's volume 6a page 99.

I think this is your man.

He's listed on the alphabetical index after Cookson and before Cooles and then Cooley, so Coole certainly fits neatly.
