I have a will for Mabel Tayler and she bequeaths to 13 nephews and nieces. I have accounted for 8 of them but am really stuck on one. More so because a member of the family actually remembers meeting him so he did exist.

He is James Tayler Harrison but not only can I not find a birth I can't find him in 1911.

Assuming parents are likely to be William and Arabella Harrison. In 1911 they have 4 children listed - Audley, Mabel, Dorothy, Marjorie but state 5 children living.
There is a gap between the last one 10 months and the others are 9,8,7 so he could fit in a treat.

Any suggestions for him please? Other children born Bath Somerset.

Sorry, Tourmie, Cannot find him on ancestry or FreeBMD. Searched with Tyler in case he was really Tyler James, than searched born in Gloucestershire but no luck. I'll go into familysearch fingers crossed.

Found this entry
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XTQL-NVL
Name: James Harrison
Event: Christening
Event Date: 18 May 1892
Event Place: Bedminster, St Silas, Somersetshire, England
Father: William James Harrison
Mother: Eliza Harrison

Film Number: 4247026
Digital Folder Number: 4247026
Image Number: 00268
Collection: James Harrison, "England, Bristol Parish Registers, 1538-1900"

Notice mother is called Eliza, but can find no marriage between William and Arabella but there is a marriage in 1896 between a William Henry Harrison and a Eliza Ellen Clark.

Arabella was born in Somerset so would of thought that is the county they married in.

Going to do some more research on the parents on ancestry.

Apologies I should have made it clearer they were all Tayler nieces and nephews and that Arabella was a Tayler. The will was done in the 1960's.

Well done for finding that birth no wonder I couldn't find it under James.

However that still leaves the mystery of who child number 5 on the 1911 census was Question Exclamation

I've found a few possibles. All born and died in Bath Registration District:

Ivy Mabel Harrison, b. Q4 1908 - d. Q4 1909
Mina Kathleen Harrison, b. Q4 1909 - d. Q3 1910
Walter Goodchild Harrison, b. Q4 1909 - d. Q4 1910

Although, as Mina and Walter were b. in the same Q, they are either twins or not related at all.

Thanks for looking STG.

Mina and Walter have the same page number which I think is an indication of twinnies so can't be them as that would up the number of children to 6.

Could well have been Ivy Mabel.

That's a good find thanks vron bounce

I don't know anything about the Harrison grandparents but will check them out.

William Harrison was born Sturton Le Steeple wherever that is.

One more thought Phyllis must have died before the will as she isn't included in the list of nieces and nephews.
