Given up on the H's (temporarily) and having a tussle with the other side of the family for a change.

Looking for great grandfathers birth.  His name was Frederick James Burroughs.  The family were from Kings Stanley in Glos and per family search that is where he was Christened 7 April 1872.

However his birth there is given 15 Sep 1861 which can't be correct as he is on the 1861 census age 7months.

Unfortunately birthplaces for him differ with each census.

1861 we have Llanstadwell, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
1871 we have Pembrokeshire, Neyland
1881 we have Glamorgan Milford Avon farmer living with his brother John 13.

Haven't got him in 1891/1901 yet but in 1911 he puts Kings Stanley Glos.  Innkeeper living Arlingham Glos.  He married Mary Elizabeth in 1890.  She died in 1905 so should be with him in 1891/1901. There were 7 children born between 1891-1905.

Thanks for help filling in the blanks sunny

There's a birth in Q3 1860 in Pembroke, 11a, 666, of a
Frederick James Borroughs.

Could that be your chappie (assuming that his dob is 15 Sept 1860, not 1861)?

Coo Very Happy

Still stuck with 1891 * scratch  Should be just the two of them husband and wife probably in Glos.
He's innkeeper 1901 same as 1911 but 1881 was farmer so could be either occupation.

* Found it under Borough bounce  He's a farmer. Job done thanks for finding the birth STG.
